THE COURSE This INTENSIVE course is designed to take existing, erperienced SQL Server 2000 Administrators and give them the ability to perform current tasks in the new product, such as disaster recovery, as well as covering new areas that improve availability, security and other administrative areas.
The course takes a ‘How do I do what I know?’ followed by a ‘What’s new?’ approach. The emphasis is on the new functionality while ensuring the delegate as a rounded appreciation of the whole product.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND Existing SQL Server System administrators and database administrators who are now looking at implementing and using SQL Server 2005. Delegates with good SQL 2000 skills, as outlined below should attend this course. Delegates with less experience may benefit from attending the SQL Server 2005 Intro and/or SQL Server 2005 Administration course in place of this course.
PRE-REQUISITES Delegates must have a good working knowledge of relational databases and be competent in administering SQL Server 2000. It is essential that delegates have a very good understanding of SQL 2000 as the course assumes this in order to cover the available material in the available time. |
