Course Outline v2.1

THE COURSE
The course will allow the delegate to identify and configure all major aspects of a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 RDBMS. The course shows how to install and configure an SQL Server, create and manage databases and database devices, backup and restore, import and export data, implement automated tasks and optimise the SQL server.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
System administrators and database administrators who implement and manage a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 RDBMS.

PRE-REQUISITES
Delegates must have a good working knowledge of relational databases and be competent in SQL. This can be obtained by attending our Microsoft SQL Server Essentials course or equivalent. Alternatively, delegates could be proficient in a previous version of SQL Server such as 6.5,7 or 2000. Delegates should have a good working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server administration.
