THE COURSE This course will develop an understanding of what is involved in managing an IT department, or team, in a proactive way. It will also develop skills to do this and give guidance on the steps needed to take to achieve this. The style of the course is both participative and practical. Delegates take an active part in management simulations and projects which recreate in a training environment, the key aspects of managing an IT department or team. These learning-by-doing activities are supported and complimented with concepts and guidance from the tutor. Delegates are also given individual attention to help them diagnose and learn about those aspects which are of particular personal significance to themselves.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND All IT managers and team leaders who have responsibility for achieving results through people and who have an interest in standing back, seeing the bigger picture and managing in a proactive way.
