Knowledge of managing Windows desktop operating systems is assumed during this course.

 

THIS COURSE IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DELEGATES THAT HAVE PREVIOUSLY ATTENDED THE QUANTA TRAINING 'ACTIVE DIRECTORY DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION' COURSE ON WINDOWS SERVER 2003. PLEASE SEE 'ALTERNATIVE COURSES' FOR MORE RELEVANT TRAINING.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Administrators who will be designing, implementing and managing Windows based networks with Active Directory using Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008.

Delegates who
are preparing for a Windows Server qualification.

 

THE COURSE
The course will allow the delegate to perform the following tasks within their organisation.
 

Plan and design Active Directory implementations to meets the needs of their organisations.

Install and perform configuration of Active Directory Services within Windows Server environments.

Manage Active Directory security, disaster recovery and maintain day-to-day running.

Understand Operations Master and the Active Directory Schema.

Understand other Active Directory Services within Windows 2008 such as Lightweight Directory Services and Rights Management Services.

ALTERNATIVE COURSES
For delegates that have significant experience on Windows Server 2000 or 2003 and wish to enhance their skills with an understanding of Windows Server 2008. This course may also be beneficial for Windows 2003 administrators with more limited experience.
