The first of the lifecycles within the ITIL v3 good practice framework, this course covers the process and activities associated with this phase including Strategy Generation, Portfolio Management, Demand Management and Financial Management.

Service Strategy looks at how both internal and external service providers can better align service offerings with the customer and the business by first and foremost better understanding their needs and requirements.

Credits
Successful candidates will be awarded 3 credits towards the ITIL Expert qualification.

Who Should Attend
The course is suitable for individuals who require a deeper understanding of the Service Strategy stage of the Service Lifecycle and work on this process within their ITSM role, offering a natural career development path for anyone who already holds the ITIL Foundation Certificate.

Pre-requisites
Delegates must already hold the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. (The V3 Foundation or V2 Foundation plus Bridge Certificate)

EXAMINATIONS & PRE-COURSE WORK
It is strongly recommended that you complete at least 21 hours of personal study before the course by reviewing the syllabus and relevant books in preparation for the examination. Pre-course material will be sent 4-6 weeks before the course starts.

The course consists of 3 days of training, with the 90 minutes closed book exam being sat on the morning of the 4th day.
