In order to obtain the ITIL v3 Expert qualification the final course and examination is Managing Across the Lifecycle.

The aim of this course is to tie up the different phases of the lifecycle and to understand how they impact on each other and be able to effectively manage a service from the initial determination that a service is required by the organisation, through its design, to the point at which it goes live and has to be supported in the business environment and the thinking behind how to make it better. In order to succeed in this examination it is suggested that candidates have taken a broad range of the intermediate courses (Lifecycle, Capability or a mixture of both) in order to best be able to understand the material covered in this week. The Managing Across the Lifecycle course leads to the examination in ITIL v3: Managing Across the Lifecycle examination.
